HOT CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 1/4 cups flour flour should be placed in a dry measuring cup, then leveled for correct measurements
  • 4 packs or 3/4 cups hot cocoa mix - SUGAR-FREE VERSIONS
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Mallow Bits mini marshmallows do not work the same and may be a bit messy


Instructions

  • Beat the butter and sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  • In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and mauve pieces *. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • When you are ready to cook, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place 2 tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets lined with silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Cook 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes; remove on racks and let cool.
